ChaLess — Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 May 2026
1. Acceptance
By signing up for or using ChaLess ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ChaLess provides an invisible bot-detection API for web forms. When integrated into a website, it analyses form-submission behaviour (timing, honeypot fields, user-agent strings) and returns an allow, challenge, or block decision. No CAPTCHA is shown to visitors.
3. Data Collected via the protect.js Script
When the ChaLess script is active on a page, the following data is transmitted to our servers at the moment a form is submitted:
- Time spent on the page before submission
- Time taken to fill in the form
- Whether a hidden honeypot field was triggered
- Browser user-agent string
- A session token generated locally in the visitor's browser
No form field content (names, email addresses, messages, or any other personal data entered by the visitor) is ever transmitted to ChaLess.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your site key confidential. You must not use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
8. Contact
